Abstract
On Writing Research Reports*

This article deals with the writing of research reports in Thai. The preparation of the manuscript must
be carried out in accordance with the format of the journal in which the author desires to have the paper
published, and the general rules for preparing a manuscript, described elsewhere. Among the topics covered
are the characteristics of the medical literature, composition and style, and the technique of writing: the
transliteration of foreign technical words, the coining of Thai medical terms, the use of punctuation marks,
and notes on linguistics and orthography.
